The people of the United States are sending a clear message that Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld and Ashcroft must be held accountable for their high crimes – for launching a war of aggression, trashing the constitution, and lying to the people and Congress and more. Without impeachment those who have committed high crimes simply walk away and its deterrent effect on others who aspire to leadership is lost.
We know that some local impeachment committees are notifying their local media about the New York Times ad. Others are distributing copies of the ad to their friends and co-workers. These are excellent methods of using the ad as an organizing and educational tool.
