Hillary just an afterthought
Remember the Big News? Hillary, nominated for a
Grammy award for her recording of “Living History”
– pitted against leftwing pitbull Al Franken for
his own recording of his book, “Lies and the Lying
Liars [blah blah blah}”?
Well, Sunday was the Big Grammy Night. And though
it was tainted by Janet Jackson’s nipple ring
debacle (the awards ceremony went on sans Janet),
certainly all of America’s press were waiting,
anxiously, to report the outcome of the showdown
between Hillary and Al…
Nope.
Who got the spotlight? Bill. That’s right -- Bill
Clinton. Bigger than life and splashed on Yahoo
via Rueters, AP, etc, etc, was the Big Victory of
Bill Clinton, winning a Grammy.
Did anyone even know he’d been nominated?
He was. It seems that a while back Bill, Mikhail
Gorbachev and Sophia Loren joined global forces to
record a children’s album called “Prokofiev: Peter
and the Wolf/Beintus: Wolf Tracks.”
Catchy title, huh.
What happened to Hillary? You’ll have to read long
and hard to find mention of her. By the way, she
lost to Al Franken.
Poor Hillary – still Bill’s afterthought. Do you
suppose she could just wring his neck???

Kerry made him do it!!
The WashingtonTimes
Inside the Beltway column says a former Prez Clinton aide
has pegged the real reason for the 1972 Watergate Break-in…
John Kerry:
A former
aide to President Clinton is suggesting that John Kerry and
the anti-Vietnam War organization he once led were the real
reasons Republicans broke into Watergate in 1972. Bob Weiner,
the 1971-72 Youth Voter Registration director for the Young
Democrats office at the Watergate headquarters of the
Democratic National Committee and a White House staffer for
six years, told this columnist yesterday that he has
re-examined Watergate hearing volumes held by the Library of
Congress.
He points out that Watergate burglar James McCord testified
that the DNC office was broken into because
its staff was "working closely with violence groups." Upon
further questioning, he repeatedly named the Kerry-led Vietnam
Veterans Against the War, which he accused of being "a
violence-oriented group."

Hillary named to top 25 ‘Tough Guys’
According to a report by the Associated Press,
Hillary Clinton has been named one of American’s top 25
Toughest Guys in America. Okay, so she’s number 25 on the list
of 25… but toughest guy?
Yup.
Men’s Journal magazine is the official maker
and keeper of the list and the AP story quotes Men’s Journal
editor Tom Foster: "Would you mess with her?" Excerpt:
Foster referred to Clinton's handling of the
sexual improprieties of her husband, former president Bill
Clinton, in the White House. Hillary Clinton wrote about the
pain caused by the president's affair with a White House
intern and the subsequent impeachment effort in Living
History, her White House memoir.
And what company is Hillary The Tough Guy
keeping in the list?
Clinton wasn't the only Washington figure on
the magazine's Toughest Guys list, which was topped by Green
Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. Arizona Senator John
McCain was No. 5 and U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld
was No. 21, two places above rapper 50 Cent, who was shot nine
times and drove himself to a hospital.
According to the AP, Senator Hillary’s office
could not be reached for comment on her inclusion in the Top
25 list. (2/13/2004)
Hillary heard from
In a week when our nation will be honoring
America's Presidents and learning more about the alleged John
Kerry affair, NBC's Today Show will talk to the women behind
the men in a week-long "America's First Ladies" series. Be
sure to catch Hillary's interview, which airs on Tuesday,
February 17th. (2/14/2004)
Is Bill playing broker?
Bill Clinton denied that he is touting retired
Gen. Wesley Clark as the best vice presidential
choice for John Kerry. The New York Post's Fredric
U. Dicker reported Monday that the former
president was embarrassed by Mr. Clark's
performance as a presidential candidate, but he
was still reported to be calling Democratic power
brokers to press Mr. Kerry to tap the retired
general as his running mate.
Clinton denied the allegation.
